Ace Flagg named America East Rookie of the Week after standout performances

Ace Flagg, a freshman from Newport, Maine, has been recognized as the America East Rookie of the Week by the America East Conference. The announcement was made on Monday morning and highlights Flagg’s recent performances for the University of Maine men’s basketball team.

Last Thursday, Flagg achieved a personal best in a game against UAlbany, scoring 22 points with an efficient 8-for-9 shooting from the field. He also recorded four three-pointers—another career high—along with seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals. In Saturday’s game against Binghamton, he contributed 12 points along with three assists and three steals. Over the week, Flagg averaged 17 points per game.

The University of Maine athletics department stated: “Developing Champions with Integrity Integrity | Accountability | Toughness | Excellence”.
