Brandon Holt and Josh Nadeau of the University of Maine men’s ice hockey team were named Hockey East First Team All-Stars, according to a March 13 announcement from the league office.
The recognition highlights both players’ strong performances during the 2025-26 season. It is the first time since 2019-20 that Maine has had a player on the first team, and the first time since 2013-14 that two players have earned this honor in the same year.
Holt received his second consecutive all-star honor after leading Hockey East with 18 assists in conference play and finishing third in total points with 23. The senior defenseman also scored five goals, including one game-winner, while averaging over 23 minutes per game. Holt recorded career-highs in goals (6), assists (26), and points (32) for the season. He was also recognized earlier in the week as Best Defensive Defenseman and co-winner of The Len Ceglarski Sportsmanship Award for his conduct on and off the ice.
Nadeau led Hockey East with 15 goals in conference play and finished second in points with 25. His average of 1.19 points per game topped all players in conference contests. Nadeau’s season included five power-play goals, two short-handed goals, three four-point games, and two hat tricks. Overall, he posted 17 goals and 13 assists for a total of 30 points this year. Earlier this week, he was named runner-up for the Service Credit Union Hockey East Scoring Champion honor.
The selections mark a significant achievement for Maine’s program as it continues to develop standout talent within college hockey.
