There was a single gas station in cities across Penobscot County selling premium gas at the lowest price of $3.44 per gallon in the week ending Dec. 14, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.com.
The average reported cost of premium gas in cities within Penobscot County was $4 per gallon.
Of the 103 reported gas stations in cities within Penobscot County, 20 offer premium gas.
The average reported price of premium gas in Maine was $3.97, compared to $3.98 the week before.
Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.
