For the 2022-23 academic year, Husson University raised tuition by 3.2%, as revealed in the most recent disclosure, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Students enrolled at the four-year private nonprofit institution paid $21,090 this year, an increase of $660 from the $20,430 charged during the 2021-22 academic year.

Approximately 67% of the undergraduate student body at Husson University are residents of Maine. Students from other U.S. states make up about 32%, while international students represent 1%.

Data indicates that all full-time undergraduates who began studies at Husson University in 2022-23 received some form of financial aid. In total, 562 students were awarded grants or scholarships amounting to $7.3 million, and 443 students borrowed more than $3.4 million in student loans.

Meanwhile, student loan debt has steadily increased over the last 30 years, reaching $1.75 trillion in 2024, averaging a total of $28,950 per borrower. Federal loans make up 92% of the debt, with over half of students at both public and private four-year colleges graduating with student loans.
