The University of Maine softball team will travel to Rhode Island for a three-game America East series against Bryant at Conaty Park, according to an April 20 announcement. The series begins with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 25, starting at 1 p.m., followed by a single game on Sunday, April 26 at noon.

This matchup is important as both teams are competing for position in the America East Conference standings. The games will be available for viewing, with Saturday’s doubleheader streamed on AmericaEast.TV and Sunday’s finale on ESPN+. Live statistics will also be accessible through BryantBulldogs.com.

Maine has an all-time record of 8-15 against Bryant and went 1-4 in their last five meetings. Last season, the teams played seven times; Maine managed one win during the regular season before being eliminated by Bryant in the conference tournament. In the previous regular season and tournament combined, Maine won two out of five games against Bryant.

Bryant enters this weekend’s series with a 16-20 overall record and leads the conference at 13-4 in league play. The Bulldogs are led offensively by Bryce Clendenin and Alissa West, while Arianna Williams has scored a team-high 30 runs. Pitchers Maddy Wachter and Brooke Tracy have each thrown over seventy innings this year.

For Maine, Kaelyn Larkin leads with a .348 batting average—ranking thirteenth in the conference—and holds one of its top slugging percentages. Keira Inman leads the conference with three triples while Alysen Rieth ranks second among pitchers for innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Maine will host UAlbany May 1–2 before hosting the America East Softball Championship from May 6–9 at Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex.
