The University of Maine track and field teams will participate in the Sean Collier Invitational at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational at Holy Cross beginning Friday, April 17.

These competitions provide opportunities for athletes to test their abilities against other collegiate programs. The events are part of the teams’ regular outdoor season schedule.

The Sean Collier Invitational will take place at Steinbrenner Stadium / Morrison Track. Distance events are scheduled for Friday evening starting at 6:30 p.m., with additional events on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Live results will be available through LeoneTiming, and FloTrack will provide live streaming coverage.

Meanwhile, the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational is set for Saturday, April 18, starting at 10:00 a.m. on Hart Track. Live stats for this meet will also be provided by LeoneTiming.

Both invitationals offer student-athletes valuable experience as they prepare for upcoming championship meets later in the season.
