The Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for the position of Patrol Deputy/Investigator.     Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a High School Diploma or GED, College degree in a related field preferred, no criminal record and have a minimum law enforcement pre-service certification from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Applicants who only have the pre-service training must be able to pass the entrance requirements of the Criminal Justice Academy.  This position is full time working a 43-hour work week.  Benefits include earned time for hours worked to be used for vacation and sick time, holiday pay, health insurance and state retirement plan. Pay is based on experience.  Successful candidate will be assigned a take home cruiser and must live in Piscataquis County.  Applications may be obtained at the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office, 52 Court Street, Dover-Foxcroft.
