Sheriff’s office actively searching for suspect in Springfield Domestic Violence incident
On Thursday April 14, at approximately 2:10 hours the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office was called to Main Street in Springfield. Deputies received a report of a domestic violence incident. At this time the victim is safe and receiving assistance. The suspect involved was reported to have fled into the woods.
Deputy Sheriffs are searching for a white male, approximately 37 years of age, 5’5 height, 140lbs wearing a dark sweat shirt, jeans and a dark hat with a green emblem. The male may be armed.
Citizens in the Springfield area are urged to use caution, not approach this individual and not allow strangers into their homes. If you see this individual, please notify the Sheriff’s Office immediately by dialing 911.
The Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Maine State Police and Lincoln Police Department. Both agencies have resources in the area at this time. This is an active ongoing investigation.
