026e

On Saturday, June 04, 2022, at 0750 am, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a family fight at 511 Riverside Drive, Eddington, Maine. Penobscot Regional Communications Center received information that a female had been assaulted by her fiancé, 47 year Thadius Wind. Wind is familiar to law enforcement and was previously involved with an 18 hour standoff in Old Town, Maine in June of 2021.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Negotiation Team, Special Response Team, and Drone Team all responded to the complaint. During the initial stages of the investigation, SRT members, and other Deputies were able to apprehend Wind while he walked into his driveway unaware of the presence of law enforcement. Wind was immediately placed into custody and brought to the Penobscot County Jail. Wind was charged with Domestic Violence Assault and a Probation hold was placed on him.
