Sheriff’s Office investigates double fatal traffic crash in Carmel.
On Monday, August 29th at approximately 9:19pm , the Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the report of a serious traffic crash on Route 69 in Carmel.
Sheriff's deputies and investigators responded to Route 69 in the 800 block area where the crash took place. A lone sedan was traveling southeast at what appears to be a very high rate of speed. The sedan lost control crossing the center line before leaving the roadway striking several trees.
The male driver and male occupant were both found to be deceased, when first responders arrived.
No names will be released until proper notifications can be made. Sheriff's Office reconstruction, forensic mapping, deputies and detectives continue to investigate the crash.
