The Husson University women's soccer team suffered a 4-1 defeat to the University of New England Nor'easters on Wednesday afternoon at Hazard Field.
The Eagles (5-6-0) fired the first couple shots on goal to open the contest before the Nor'easters (5-3-1) would open the scoring as Karley Belisle fired a shot to the low right as UNE held a 1-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, the freshman Laura Martel scored her first collegiate goal as freshman Marila Corletto hammered a free kick from the top of the 18 and Martel was there to knock home the rebound.
The women's soccer team will return to Boucher Field on Saturday for a North Atlantic Conference fixture as UMaine-Presque Isle come to town for a 3:30 p.m.
