Eastern Maine Community College Our students are #EMCCProud

Here is what Leavitt has to say about his experience at one of the training exercises he was part of last week with the CRJ program:

"Being a student in the EMCC Criminal Justice program provides me with unique opportunities. This week, I assisted the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office and the Maine Department of Corrections with simulating a prisoner escape at Mountain View Correctional Facility. My group was tasked with going into the woods to provide a challenging environment for tactical searches and arrests. We waited for a drone to locate us with infrared radiation, and then we waited for a the PCSO Special Response Team to find and apprehend us. After multiple scenarios, we met numerous deputies and correctional officers. They were very accepting of us, thankful for our attendance, and they were able to provide us with extensive knowledge of the Criminal Justice field."

Thank you for sharing your experience!
