On October 19th and 26th, members of the Cumberland County Regional Emergency Services Unit (ESU) conducted scenario based training at the Law Enforcement Center in Portland and the Critical Defense Institute in Concord, NH. This was a multi-day practical and classroom exercise facilitated by Dirigo Readiness Resource Group.
Each member of the ESU Team maintains a training standard of over 220 hours annually, in many different specialties. October’s training specifically focused on medical aid and risk mitigation through de-escalation and negotiation.
