The New England Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced its weekly awards on Tuesday and Husson University junior Bailey Donovan was selected as the player of the week.
Donovan caps off an impressive week having earned Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week along with North Atlantic Conference Player and Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. She finished with her fifth-straight double-double of the season against Saint Joseph's College of Maine. Scored 16 points with 17 rebounds, four assists and one steal on 6-8 shooting from the floor and 4-4 from the free-throw line. Also tallied 22 points and 16 rebounds in her teams win over the University of Southern Maine, scoring her 1,000th point to go along with two assists, three blocks and two steals.
