Peterson, Payson earn NAC weekly awards | Husson University
The North Atlantic Conference announced its weekly awards on Monday and Husson University women's swimming and diving junior Kayla Payson earned her third-straight swimmer of the week honor while sophomore Shelby Peterson was tabbed as diver of the week.
Payson out-stroked the field in the 200-yard butterfly with a new school record and winning time of 2:19.20 and also cruised to victory in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:33.11 to finish more than 24 seconds ahead of the field. Additionally, Payson was part of two winning relays for the Eagles winning the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:32.06 and the 200-yard freestyle relay with a mark of 1:51.23 and earned her fifth swimmer of the week honor.
Peterson won the one-meter diving event with a six-dive score of 193.05 earning her second NAC diver of the week honor.
