The Piscataquis County Jail is taking applications to create a hiring pool for anticipated vacancies this coming year. We expect a few open Corrections Officer’s positions.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a security background check, and have good communication skills and the ability to perform various strenuous duties. Prior corrections experience preferred but not necessary. The County offers a prevailing wage scale and fringe benefit package for full-time employees. We also offer a $5,000 retention bonus for employees upon completion of two years of service. Applications available at:
