Junior Jeremy Moronta scored 23 second half points as the men's basketball team came back from 15 en route to the 78-73 North Atlantic Conference victory over Northern Vermont-Lyndon at Newman Gym on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams would trade baskets for the first four minutes of the contest before the Hornets (6-16, 3-8 NAC) went on the first run of the contest via 10-0 as they led by as much as nine in the first ten minutes of the contest. The Eagles (12-12, 10-3 NAC) would slowly fight their way back into the contest as they made it a three point game at halftime in favor of NVU-Lyndon.

NVU-Lyndon used a 20-8 run at the beginning of the second half to reach their largest lead of the contest at 57-42 with 13 minutes remaining. The Eagles quickly got back into the contest with an 8-0 run, but they would struggle to lower NVU-Lyndon's down from six points until seven minutes left in the contest. Moronta took over the contest as he scored nine points as the Eagles went on a 19-4 to sting the Hornets and record the come-from-behind victory.

Moronta's 18 second half points helped the guard record a career-high 34 points, off the bench, while also grabbing nine rebounds. Senior Derek Collin put up 13 points and seven rebounds.
