The Husson University women's soccer team added another talented recruit to its 2023-24 recruiting class. Hermon High School standout Allie Cameron has committed to attend Husson in the Fall of 2023.

The Hermon, Maine, native becomes the fourth player from the State of Maine to join the Eagles 2023-24 recruiting class following a stellar high school career at Hermon.

The center midfielder was a three-time Penobscot Valley Conference All-Conference selection and a PVC All-Academic Team selection this past Fall.

In addition to her high school career, Cameron played club soccer for Seacoast from 2012-17 and Rivercity from 2018-23.

Additionally, Cameron earned United Soccer Coaches Regional All-Star honors in 2022 and won three Northern Maine Championships in 2019, 2021 and 2022 and was a state finalist those same seasons. With Rivercity, Cameron was a four-time state champion and a three-time Amherst Memorial Day Champion.

A four-year varsity starter and team captain, Cameron tallied 20 career goals, 31 career assists and a 61-3-0 high school career record.

Academically, Cameron was an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society and plans to student business as Husson. "I've decided on attending Husson because of the great education and competitive soccer program," Cameron said. "I'm super excited to get the opportunity to play with some former players from high school and club again, as well as get the opportunity to play for a great coaching staff. Overall, Husson really just feels like home, and the right place to further my education, and to compete at the next level."

Cameron further adds to a loaded recruiting class that consists of Cassy Schilter, Lahna Descheneau, Lynsee Reed, Taylor Isom, Ella Hosford, Paige Dunn and Rylee Speed in the 2023-24 recruiting class. All eight players will join a women's soccer program that won the NAC east division championship this past fall and finished as the NAC tournament runner-up. Additionally, the Eagles produced NAC player of the year (Natalie Aviolla), rookie of the year (Addi Laslie) and defensive player of the year (Caley Nault).
