82.9% of Piscataquis County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 16,760 citizens living in Piscataquis County in 2021, 82.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 13,887 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 7,056 were male, constituting 50.8%, and 6,831 were female, making up 49.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Piscataquis County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 81.2%.
