Swarthmore Garnet claimed a 7-1 victory over the Eastern Eagles in their NCAA Division III softball matchup on Tuesday, March 17, at 5 p.m. Lane Barron, a former Bangor High School standout, is a member of the Garnet roster.

The contest was held at Clothier Softball Field and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. Earlier on March 17, Swarthmore fell to the Eagles 2-1 in their previous game.

Barron pitched five innings, surrendering one earned run, walking one, and striking out two batters.

Swarthmore is set to face the Muhlenberg Mules next at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, again at Clothier Softball Field.
