Husson University Women's Golf Performs Well at 2022 State of Maine Invitational

The Husson University women's golf team closed out their opening weekend of play by taking apart in the 2022 State of Maine Invitational, hosted by Bowdoin College at the Brunswick Golf Club.

Husson sophomore Lindsey Cote led the Eagles by finishing 26th after carding a 16-over-par 89.

Freshman Allie Weinert finished at 21-over with a 94, which was good enough to tie for 28th place, while fellow classmate Caitlyn Chabot shot 30-over and finished 34th with a 103.

Emily Hou of the Wellesley won the tournament at 3-under-par with a 70, edging Bowdoin's Shivani Schmulen by four strokes. Wellesley carried the day with their Blue team finishing first (314), followed by their White team (316), Bowdoin (318), Bates (321) and Trinity (363) rounded out the team leaderboard.

Husson returns to action on Sept. 23 when they host the Husson Invitational at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course.
