Husson University Women's golf finishes ninth at 2022 NEIGA Championship

The Husson women's golf team wrapped up the Fall portion of their 2022-23 schedule on Sunday afternoon with a ninth place finish at the 2022 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass. The Eagles finished with a 801 team card after shooting a 390 on Sunday.

Sophomore Lindsay Cote was the top Husson finisher as she finished tied for 25th with a 21-over 165 (87-78). Freshman Caitlyn Chabot (98-100, =54) and freshman Allie Weinert (105-95, =56) finished 41st and 42nd with two-day scores of 198 and 200. Senior Sydney Devine carded a 94-over 238 (121-117) and finished 49th.

Williams College won the 2022 NEIGA Championship with a 609 (299-310) team card, while Eph's freshman Victoria Kim earned medalist honors with a score of 144 (69-75, E)

Additionally, Cote was named the first annual Libby Smith Award winner, given annually to a New England College Women's Golfer that best exemplifies strong leadership and positive enthusiasm for the game of golf.
