Husson University Leavitt, Beatty, Young named to NAC Volleyball All-Conference

The North Atlantic Conference announced its 2022 volleyball all-conference on Tuesday and Husson University senior Cheyenne Young and sophomore Julia Leavitt earned first team while graduate student Adrienne Beatty was named senior scholar athlete and to the sportsmanship team.

 

Leavitt, finished the season with a team-high 298 kills in 89 sets played while tallying 50 service aces and 280 digs. Additionally, Leavitt recorded 13 double-doubles including six 20-kill performances and one 30-kill effort, which broke the program record for kills in a game.

 

Young tallied 270 kills on the year with a .238 attack percentage, adding 26 aces and 265 digs in 89 sets played. Young also finished with nine double-doubles and three 20-kill performances.

 

Beatty, who graduated from Husson in the spring of 2022 with a degree in public health and healthcare administration, and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in occupational therapy. A three-year captain of the Husson volleyball team, Beatty is an eight-time selection to Husson's President's List, a four-time NAC All-Academic honoree, and recipient of the Patricia B. Homestead Scholarship Award. She is a member of Husson's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and the Pi Theta Epsilon scholastic honor society of the American Occupational Therapy Foundation. Within Husson Athletics, she has earned NAC weekly honors four times during her career, served as a facility attendant at both the Newman Gymnasium and the Swan Center.
