Penobscot County Sheriff's Office Dangerous Drugs Seized in Greenbush

On November 11, 2022, at approximately 8 pm, Deputies from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office arrived at an address in Greenbush, Maine in an attempt to locate a wanted subject.  

Upon arriving at the location, Deputies witnessed one subject run towards the back of the residence.  Staff Sergeant William Sheehan, Corporal Cam Barrieau, and Deputy Dick Polk, continued the investigation and determined that 30-year-old David Paterson of Greenbush, 26-year-old Latasha Shaffer of Greenbush, and 26-year-old Nicholas Paterson of Greenbush, were present at the residence.  Deputies learned that David Paterson had several active warrants for his arrest and active bail conditions, Shaffer had a warrant for her arrest and active bail conditions , and Nicholas Paterson had active bail conditions.  

All three were later placed under arrest for various charges.  Based on this information and information developed at the scene, Deputies conducted a search that yielded a large number of illegal drugs.  

During the search, Deputies located 86 gross grams of suspected Fentanyl, 23.9 gross grams of suspected Methamphetamine, and 12 prescription pills.  

David Paterson was  initially charged with Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs (Felony Class A) and Violation of Condition of Release,  Latasha Shaffer was initially charged with Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs (Felony Class A) and Violation of Condition of Release, and Nicholas Paterson was charged with Violation of Condition of Release.  

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.  This remains an open investigation.
