Drone Team supports Emergency Management Agency | Penobscot County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff’s Office Drone Team supports Emergency Management Agency with ice jam and flooding issues in Howland. 

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office Drone Team provided assistance to the Penobscot County Emergency Management Agency. 

A large ice jam and flooding has impacted many in the Howland area. The Sheriff's Office Drone Team was able to fly the area and provided detailed video footage to Howland Town Officials, EMA and others monitoring the situation. The Sheriff's Office will continue to provide assistance as needed in the area. 

Please remember not to drive through water covered roads, use caution near shoulders of flooded roadways and stay away from downed power lines.
