Eastern Maine Community College Employee Spotlight Kathy Crise | Eastern Maine Community College
It's time for another Employee Spotlight!
here is what Kathy Crise, M. Ed chair of our Computer Technology program has to say about her experience at EMCC:
"During the summer of 2012, I got the opportunity to return to school and use my GI Bill a 2nd time. I selected EMCC as a school because the “bang” for the buck would get me the most out of my 20 months of funding. During my senior semester, I applied for the CST faculty position as 2 instructors were retiring from the program. As I proudly accepted my most-valuable degree at commencement in May 2014, I unofficially found out that I would be joining the program as an instructor in August 2014.
The size of EMCC makes me feel right at home. I come from a very small Maine town, (Lee) and ended up marrying a Californian! And you know what they say…”If you marry a Mainuh, you end up living in Maine!” After living in several places around the globe, we moved to Lee, Maine to raise our children. To me there is a safety in knowing your neighbor, including at your place of employment. The small school size allows me to always find the answer to help our students."
Thank you Cathy for sharing your story with us!
